Profile
Yuto Motohashi is a researcher working in quantum engineering and experimental quantum hardware.
He holds a B.S. in Applied Physics from the University of Tokyo.
He is currently an MSc student in Quantum Engineering at ETH Zurich (starting September 2024).
He did a Research Assistant at ETH Zurich (Institute for Quantum Electronics), working on experimental research related to trapped-ion quantum computing.
Beginning in January 2026, he will conduct his master’s thesis at Stanford University as a visiting student researcher in the Nanoscale and Quantum Photonics Lab (PI: Prof. Jelena Vuckovic).
He is supported by the Funai Overseas Scholarship.
He also contributes to outreach as a vice-representative of the US Graduate Student Association (gakuiryugaku).
